The Vision of CALVARY’S CROSS by Bobby Conner.

The warm sunlight was softly spilling through the window into my office as I forced my attention away from the sweet spring day. Sitting in my chair, I brought my focus back to my opened Bible and an all-too-clean notepad which were resting on the deep, rich polished desk. I was in the process of preparing preaching notes on the subject of the cross of Christ. I had spoken on this subject many times before, but now I deeply desired something much fresher. I was not prepared for what was about to happen. My tranquil setting was about to change in a radical way. Pushing my chair forward, getting closer to the Scripture and my note paper, I began to pray, asking the Spirit of God to make the message of the cross real. I did not want to use just a bunch of words. I wanted the cross to be more than a mere message. I longed for people to hear the Words of Life. I wanted it to be something powerful that would transform our lives. So I began my prayer from a hungry heart.

Suddenly without warning, faster than the speed of light, I was no longer sitting comfortably at my study. I was being carried by the Spirit of God through time and space. As Paul stated in the Scriptures, if I was in the body or out of the body I do not know. Soon, I was set down in the busy streets of Jerusalem. I could hear the sounds of a mob of people; I could feel an evil excitement in the air that made my spirit very uncomfortable. I was standing in a great crowd of people. Looking into their faces, I noted that some were filled with sincere sadness and others with an evil grin. The next thing I knew I was shoved aside by a big Roman solider, who cursed at me and yelled “get out of the way!” Then I looked and saw what the crowd had been waiting for…Jesus bearing His cross. I could not believe my eyes. Never had I seen such a terrible sight. His entire face was covered with clotted, dried blood from wounds caused by a crown of thorns, which looked more like razor-sharp spikes driven into His head. Each time His heart would beat, fresh dark blue-re blood would spurt between the spikes and thorns, running down His forehead and into His eyes, dripping to His chest and onto the dusty street. My mind was whirling. I thought “this can’t be happening, these happened years before.” At that moment our eyes met, however, and I knew without a doubt, it was real. Somehow, I had been carried to the crucifixion!

It was no dream; I was there.

Stunned, I staggered alongside the crowd, too shocked to speak, watching as Jesus was stumbling under the weight of the heavy cross. The hot winds blowing dust from the street blew open the tears in His bloodstained clothes and I caught a glimpse of the wounds on His back and shoulders, deep…flesh-torn…gaping..Open. For a long time we made our way up the steep path outside the city wall. At long last we came to the top of the Hill of the Skull. The mob stirred with excitement when the Lord was thrown down hard to the ground. Without a struggle He stretched out His arms.

The air itself was so thick with the oppressing demon spirits it was hard to breathe. The smell of blood and body fluids was so strong that I was choking; and I could smell the strong stinking aroma of some type of liquor, or cheap ale, coming from the soldiers. I heard the heavy thud of the hammer as it struck the spikes going into His hands and feet. The cross was lifted up very roughly and dropped in the hole. I heard a deep groan coming from the Lord’s throat, as the entire weight of His body came against the spikes. I will never forget the sounds, sights, and smells of this moment. It seemed as if time had stopped. I don’t know how long I was there; it seemed as if it was hours.

This was a place of no mercy! Yet the most merciful act was being accomplished. I will never forget the paradox of feelings. The Sinless and Guiltless dying as one guilty. The perfect being spoiled by the spear and ravaged by the cross. The Righteous dying for the rebellious. As I lifted my eyes to behold Christ on the cross, the pain upon His face was more than my heart could bear; all the strength left my legs, and I felt my body thud against the ground. I struggled to get to my knees. Lifting my eyes, I again forced myself to behold the Lamb. I know now the meaning of the prophet’s words, “And when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him” (Isaiah 53:2). I can testify that His face was more disfigured than any I have ever seen. The pain that Jesus went through was much more than the cross. It was beyond any human words to describe. His flesh was a pale blue as He hung suspended between heaven and earth making atonement for sinners such as I. At that moment I cannot begin to describe how horrible a sinner I knew I was. The words of the song came flooding into my heart. “When I survey the wondrous Cross on which the Prince of Glory died, my richest gains I count but loss and pour contempt on all my pride.”

I could see the Lord as He struggled beneath the pain of the cross, and as He lifted His weight and breathed in to speak these words, “Father, forgive them for they don’t know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34).

Later, I heard the most horrible cry come form the parched, swollen, bleeding lips of our Lord…this cry still rings in my ears to this very hour: “My God! My God! Why have You forsaken Me?” (Matthew 27:46). This question came from the very soul of the Son of God. For the very first time in all of eternity, the Son and the Father are separated. This is the very first time Christ has ever referred to God other than Father. Why? Because now Christ has become what we are, He has taken upon Himself our sins. The Scripture states that God is of a purer eye than to look upon sin, so Father God turns His back to His Son, and Christ is forsaken of His Father. This is the pain that He had asked to be removed in the garden when He prayed “let this cup pass from Me” (Matthew 26:39). He could not bear to think of Himself being abandoned by His Father. At this moment Christ is not dying as a Son, but rather as a sinner. As this happened, His heart was crushed. As the Psalmist prophesied: “My heart is like wax, it has melted within Me” (Psalm 22:14).

Then with a loud cry Christ Jesus said ” Father into Your hands I commit My Spirit” (Luke 23:46), and His lifeless head falls limp upon His chest. The entire earth is spinning and shaking; there is this terrible darkness everywhere. I hear screams coming from the darkness, and suddenly I am aware that the cry is coming from my own lips. I am no longer at the foot of the cross, I am back in my office; but the cry and scream still echoes in my ears. My entire body is shaking and trembling.

(The Vision Ends).

RITUAL OR RELATIONSHIP.

I am not able to share all that I saw and experienced at this time, but I can tell you I will never be the same. And I am more sure now than ever before, the preaching of the cross is the power of God unto salvation. The Scripture states: “For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect” (1 Corinthians1:17).

The Cross of Christ is not a trite trinket or some sentimental ceremonial jewelry, to be worn about our neck; but rather the cross is the very essence of the loving heart of Father God reaching out to fallen mankind. Mankind’s only hope of deliverance from the grasp and guilt of sin is the finished work of Christ upon the cross. God is not requesting man to embrace a mere ritual, but rather to enter into a lasting relationship. This can only be accomplished through the cross of Christ.

THE CROSS WAS BY DIVINE DESIGN.

The Gospel is that “Christ Jesus died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried; and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Notice the term “according to the Scripture.” The sacrifice of Christ for our sin upon the cross was by divine design. The death of Christ upon the cross was neither accidental nor arbitrary. Jesus declared “For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world” (John 18:37). The gospels tell us that the Lord Jesus spoke of the cross before His death (see Matthew 10:38;Mark 10:21; Luke 14:27).

The sacrifice of Christ upon the cross for sinful mankind is the greatest example of God’s love. The Scriptures declare “Greater love has no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friend” (John 15:13). That is exactly what Jesus did for us. He willingly came into this world to give His life a ransom to redeem fallen man. Paul says: “Christ died for the ungodly…He demonstrates His own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:6-7). We are the guilty and deserve the judgment of God, but God so loved us that He was willing to let His Son become sin for us, so that we, by accepting Him as our personal Lord and Savior, can be freed from sin’s punishment.

None can fail to see that in the teaching of the New Testament, Christ is set forth as taking the place of the sinner in His death. The death of Jesus upon Calvary’s cross was vicarious, which means Christ took our place of death and punishment. Every blessing of salvation is imputed to the believer by the substitutionary death of Christ. “Him who knew no sin was made to be sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

The cross, and the preaching of the cross, is the very core, and center of Christianity. Jesus said, “….and if I be lifted up I will draw all men unto Me” (John 12:32). May God help us to boldly proclaim the transforming message of the cross of Christ.

Visitation of the Holy Spirit by Sister Prema Pelletier

Visitation of the Holy Spirit by Sister Prema Pelletier.

Sister Prema Pelletier was saved in New York City through responding to a newspaper ad, placed by a pastor who turned out to be a former Hindu.  Her testimony is amazing.  “I was raised on the grounds of a Hindu temple and worshipped the cow.  God saved my wretched soul and today, by the Lord’s holy grace, my husband and I are pastors of Rivers of Living Water Church here in Scarborough, Toronto, Canada.”

My First Encounter.

At the age of twelve, I had a dream in which I saw myself kneeling at the back of a small church and weeping profusely. In the dream, I had just been reprimanded by my grandmother and had ran out of the house. I dashed across the street and ran into this church. While kneeling there, I sensed Someone else was in the room. As I slowly lifted my head, I could see Someone gracefully walking towards me. As soon as my eyes saw Him, I was made to understand, in my heart, that this Person was Jesus. It seemed somehow, that this thought was “injected” in my heart and mind.

As I continued to look at Him, this beautiful Person came and knelt next to me. He put one of His arms around my shoulder and wiped my teary eyes with His other hand. Then, He said these words to me: “Do not weep, My child. Whatsoever you shall ask the Father for in My Name, you shall receive.” (John 16:23). I don’t remember what happened after that, except to say that when I woke up the next morning, I announced that I “dreamt Jesus.” It meant nothing to me. No one responded. I guess it meant nothing to them, either.

This was my first encounter with the Living Christ. Eighteen years later when I got saved, I read John 16: 23 in God’s Word. Praise the Lord.

Our Church’s first service was held on Sunday, November 19, 1995. It was a time of great and thankful praises and glory to our dear Lord. The Presence of the wonderful Holy Spirit was so real. I was still marveling at the goodness of our great God, and thinking how blessed I am to have come to know our Lord Jesus. I was in a state of extreme thankfulness. Monday went by, and all day I sensed His amazing grace over me. I felt my Father’s love in a very special way.

When you know that you have been pulled from the pit, you cannot help but be grateful!

When it was time to go to sleep, I seemed to be most bright-eyed! I tried playing a cassette by Pastor Bob Phillips, but the tape recorder seemed to gurgle. As I was lying on my bed, I noticed the clock’s large, red digital numbers glowing in the dark; it read, “1:03 AM”. What happened next was one of the most extraordinary experiences I have ever had!

I was suddenly put into a very deep sleep, in a trance-like state. This is what I saw and experienced. I saw myself sitting on the couch in our living room. The couch was facing the door to the balcony. Coming from the direction of the balcony was the most awesome Person. The Person of God the Holy Spirit! Walking behind the Spirit of the Living God was an angel, not more than four feet tall. God the Holy Spirit came directly towards me. As He slowly walked to me, His head held high, His shoulders thrust out, all Majesty, Authority and Power, the thought was imparted to my spirit, “This is God the Holy Ghost!” Because the Lord Jesus has appeared to me over twenty-one times, one of the first things I remember thinking was that the Holy Spirit looks so much like the Lord Jesus. He looks like His Twin! But, I seemed to also notice the difference between Them. In the visions granted to me of our Lord Jesus, His hair is down close to His shoulders. The Holy Spirit’s hair was not down, but sticking out with power. Thinking about His hair afterwards, it reminded me of someone sticking his finger in a live electrical outlet.

This Mighty Holy Spirit, this very beautiful Third Person of the Godhead, strode toward me and I stood up. The Spirit of God stood about fifteen inches in front of me. I looked into the very penetrating, deep, serious, serene and very holy eyes of God the Holy Ghost, and I felt I was looking into Eternity! At that moment, I found myself looking down on the carpet where I was standing. I trembled in the Presence of this Holy One with an awesome reverence. As this Holy Wonder of the Lord stood before me, I put out both my hands before Him, palms facing upwards, and I spoke these words, “Would You please pray that Jesus would always keep me?” When I spoke these words, God’s Holy Spirit placed both His Palms on my palms. I felt the sensation of electricity surging through my entire body.

Next, with His eyes still staring into my very soul, the Spirit of God began to rub my palms with His Palms, one at a time. He slowly rubbed one palm after the other, in a striding type of way. By this time, my eyes were staring at both His Hands. I believe the Lord’s Holy Spirit rubbed my palms about eight times. As He did so, I was amazed to see Oil gushing out of the middle of His Palms over mine! The Oil which flowed freely from the Holy Spirit’s Palms was bearably hot, and as it overflowed my palms, it went to the back of my hands. As I stood there before the Lord, I found myself rubbing my hands with the Oil still overflowing and dripping on the carpet. I found myself saying these words, “These hands shall be laid on the sick and they shall recover.” With that, God the Holy Spirit and the angel both turned and walked back the way they came.

My eyes opened. The first thing I noticed was the time on the clock. It read, “1:17 AM”. I believe God arranged it so that I would see the time before and after this holy experience. For fourteen unforgettable minutes, I was in the Presence of God the Holy Spirit. I could hardly lift my elbow to nudge my sleeping husband. After many attempts, I stuttered, “I, I, I looked into the eyes of the Holy Ghost and I saw Eternity!” I was so shaken up, I could hardly speak.

A couple of days later, when I tried to play the cassette which had previously gurgled, it played fine. The message was timely. Pastor Bob Phillips spoke about the Holy Spirit, and the last line in his message was that, “he that believes, out of his belly shall flow RIVERS OF LIVING WATER!!!”

People have asked me how I know that I saw God the Holy Spirit. Some say that the Holy Spirit cannot be seen because He is a Spirit.

My answer is that whether we believe in Heaven or Hell, they still exist. Furthermore, in my first vision of our Lord Jesus as a twelve year old Hindu child, the thought was imparted to my heart, “This is Jesus,” even though I did not know Him.

Recently, I was privileged for the second time to meet with Dr. Gwen Shaw, President of End-Time Handmaidens and Servants Ministry (www.eth-s.org). This beautiful, anointed and respected Bible Teacher and End-Time General in the Lord’s Army shared some real insight into my experience as she related it to a group having lunch with her and her dear husband, Papa Jim. As Sister Gwen so rightly pointed out, “The Lord is quite able to remove the veil of the natural eyes, and allow whomsoever He chooses to look into the things of the supernatural. He is Sovereign! In Heaven, the saints are all in spirit forms. Yet, they are seen and recognized by one another.”

So, dear ones, if you have a difficult time believing my experience with the Holy Spirit, it still happened. I am simply sharing my experience as it was given to me by my wonderful Lord!

I asked the Lord to give me Scripture to back up my experience. He gave me Romans 8:26-27 — “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”

The Journey continues . . .

Many things continue to happen since that wonderful visitation by the Holy Ghost. People have been healed and continue to be healed, to the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

On a daily basis, I experience the Golden Oil of the Holy Spirit running down my head. I actually feel the physical sensation of this happening. Psalm 23:5 — “Thou anointest my head with Oil; my cup runneth over.” See also Psalm 89:20.

During my fellowship and prayer time with the Lord, the Shadow of Almighty God falls over me. I know when He comes and I see when His Shadow falls, whether my eyes are open or closed, whether it is daytime or nighttime. Psalm 91:1 — ”He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the Shadow of the Almighty.”

Many times, a spiritual Mantle is thrown over my shoulders. It is like someone standing behind me and throwing a cloak over my shoulders. I know Who that Someone is! Praise the Lord.

In the early hours of the morning, I am awakened by the Holy Wind of the Spirit of the Living God. The Wind of the Holy Spirit is blown into my ear, usually my left ear. Isaiah 50:4 — ”He wakeneth (me) morning by morning, He wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.”

Sometimes I experience the Rain and the Dew of the Holy Spirit falling over me. At times it is cold and at times I could only describe it as Liquid Fire. When the Dew falls over me, it is like a light sprinkle compared to the Rain. Isaiah 44:3 — ”For I will pour Water upon him that is thirsty, and Floods upon the dry ground: I will pour My Spirit upon thy seed, and My blessing upon thine offspring.”

Every one of my finger tips has become raised. Our Church family calls them “fire blisters”. They are most pronounced when I speak about our Lord Jesus Christ and the Anointing of the Holy Spirit. These fire blisters, which are on all my fingers, are visible to the eyes. I asked the Lord what this means. He laid upon my heart that He had left His mark on my hands. To our lovely Lord Jesus Christ be all the glory, honour, praise and credit. I lift HIM up.

When God anoints a vessel, it is for service. I thank the Lord for this great privilege He has given each one of us to serve Him.

A couple of years ago, our family doctor scheduled me for an electrocardiogram as part of an annual check-up. As I lay down on the bed, the nurse cautioned me not to touch the wall. While I was lying on the bed, the anointing of the Lord came upon me. I could physically feel the Oil of the Holy Spirit leaking down my head. As the nurse was watching the needle on the graph, it took an unusual jump up and down. “I told you not to touch the wall!” she exclaimed, somewhat aggravated. “I’m not touching the wall,” I answered. When the electrocardiogram was finished, I explained to her what had happened, and showed her my fingertips which were still raised up. She was stunned.

When the anointing is on me in an increased way, I literally hear the sound of it. The best way that I can describe it is that it sounds like very dry firesticks burning briskly. It is like a crackling sound. It is the anointing of the Holy Ghost and Fire! Praise the Lord!!

I believe God is preparing this vessel for a time such as this. I vow to give Him all the glory, honour, praise, and all the credit. I don’t understand all that is happening, but I know it is of God and so my heart is at rest. I love my Lord with every ounce of my being. May the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit of the Living God be glorified! Jesus Christ is Lord. Amen.

Dreams And Visions Given To Pastor Prema By The Lord.

My first encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ was at the tender age of twelve. This beautiful Person came to me, knelt near me, tenderly dried my weeping eyes and spoke to me. You may read more about this in my testimony at www.rlwc.ca. May you, dear reader, be blessed by some of the dreams and visions God has granted me. All for the glory of our lovely Lord Jesus Christ.

MY GOD-ORDAINED HUSBAND.

In 1986, eight years before I met my husband, the Lord showed him to me in a dream. We were both in Sri Lanka and he was preaching the Word. I was standing with my Bible held high up in the air. We met in 1994, and seven weeks later we were married. Today we both preach the Word, to the glory of God.

THE AGONY OF THE CHRIST.

One night I saw thousands of angels entwined in a circle around the sky. In the center was the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord was nailed to the Cross. He was still alive. I saw Him from a side view. His leg was jerking with agony. The angels were looking on.

THE LORD SPEAKS ABOUT HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD.

One night the Lord appeared to me in a dream. As we walked, I told Him how grateful I was to Him for dying on the Cross for me. I thanked Him for shedding His most precious Blood for me and for this world. He replied, “Yes, it was not the blood of seven thousand chickens. It was My Blood. My Precious Blood.” We walked without speaking another word. Then the Lord stopped. He said to me, “Meet Me here every morning.” It was about 2:30 AM.

AN ANGEL HELPS ME PUT GAS IN MY CAR.

On my way to church one evening, my son and I were a short block away from the gas station when the car ran out of gas. I usually drive with at least half a tank full. But I had used the car quite a bit and I had reasoned that I would fill up on my way to church. Sanjay was only nine at the time. I left him in the car and started to walk to the gas station, praying quietly, “Lord, I need Your help. I don’t know how to put gas in the car.” (I know now.) Suddenly a man stepped across my pathway, carrying a briefcase under his arm. I asked for his help. He was so kind and helpful. I invited him to church and thanked him for being so kind. I asked him if he was “Born Again.” He said, “My Father is.” I was curious about his profession. He told me that he was in the insurance business. We got to the car. He shook Sanjay’s hand. He helped put the gas in my car. As I sat in the driver’s seat, he stood outside the car in a friendly way. I slightly turned my head to pull the seat belt. As I turned back, HE WAS GONE! The Lord sent His angel to help me fill the gas! When I finished shouting with joy and calmed down, the Lord gave me the interpretation of my encounter. Angels cannot be “Born Again.” They are created. Also, the angels are sent by God to insure the protection of God’s people (Psalm 91). They are our insurance agents! Glory! I just knew as we drove to church that he was sitting on the top of the car, having a great time!

ANGEL JUDAH.

One night I had a vision of a very tall, blonde, blue-eyed angel standing at the foot of my bed. He was all smiles. I felt so peaceful and happy. I asked him, “What is your name?” He replied, “My name is Judah.” Judah is a Hebrew word which means praise. Because I love to praise the Lord with all my being, I believe that the Lord sent me an angel of praise.

THE BRICK OF GOLD, THE BUNCH OF FRUIT, AND THE WORD OF GOD.

One night in a vision, I walked with an angel from 10 PM to 4 AM. As we walked, we communicated by thought. He knew all my thoughts and questions, and I knew his replies as he thought them. We passed by this house of rich but wicked folks. Since I was a new Chistian, I questioned how wicked people could be rich. The angel walked me to a concrete room which had no doors or windows. He used the rod which he carried and struck the wall. A door formed and we walked inside. He went to a corner of this room and struck the wall again with his rod. A brick of gold came shooting out from the wall. He took it and handed it to me. I shook my head “No.” He walked back to the corner of the room and struck the wall again. Out came a very large bunch of fruit, still on the vine. He handed it to me. This time, I gladly accepted. My arms were full of the fruit as I embraced the vine. I ate as much as I could. I actually felt my tummy puffed with the fruit. Then I stepped outside and gave the rest of the fruit to everyone who passed by.

Shortly afterwards, the Lord gave me the interpretation of this vision. I had chosen to refuse the world and its wealth in order to pursue the wealth of the Lord. I would eat the Word of God and then share His Word with others. I have not regretted my choice! Glory! He adds the blessings!

TWO VISIONS OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IN AN ALL-NIGHT PRAYER MEETING.

One night, two of my friends and I were praying throughout the night, as we usually did. At 2:20 AM, I felt very hot Oil being poured into the skull of my head. The Lord Jesus then appeared to me, nailed to the Cross. He was wearing a loin cloth. His chin was drooped down. As I saw this vision of my Lord, tears stung my eyes. I suddenly realized that I was out of my body. My body was half-kneeling, half sitting. My spirit was standing. In a moment, the vision was taken away, and my spirit was back in my body. The Lord appeared to me again. This time, the Christ was in His royal robe of splendor! He was high and lifted up and His train filled the temple! This flowing robe was light blue in color. He was about two feet above the altar area. I shyly looked at my Lord. What a Beauty to behold! My Lord forcefully extended His hands to me as if to say, “Come to Me, My child!” At that moment, I noticed His wonderful eyes. They were a beautiful mix of blue and green, and they drew me to Him. I could only describe my Lord’s eyes as a tumbling river of love, pulling me towards Him. And His smile! O, His smile. “Perfectly beautiful” is putting it mildly! His hair was light brown in color, shoulder-length, and with many curls. His smile is always before me. The vision vanished, but I always remember Him as I saw Him that night.

Such an anointing came over me that I felt as if I could lift a ton. I started to shout. “I saw the Lord! I saw the Lord!” By this time, it was around 4:30 in the morning. My sisters Doris and Rosa and I grabbed all the tambourines we could find and at that time of the morning, we marched several times around the sanctuary of the church. We sang the chorus, “I saw the Lord, I saw the Lord. He was high and lifted up and His train filled the temple!…” To God be all the glory!

THE DOVE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

One morning I saw the Dove of the Holy Spirit. He was sitting in a circular frame, like the frame of a round clock. He was staring intently at me.

THE GOD WHO ANSWERS BY FIRE.

One day I saw a Fiery Personality standing in our apartment. I got afraid. I rebuked this vision. To my utter amazement, as I went into the kitchen, here He was again. This time peace flooded my soul. This Person was the God Who answers by Fire.

These are just a few encounters in the spirit realm that I share with you. Praise the Lord! God bless you!

The Testimony of Rev Yong Thang.

 https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzND_wY_ZWFRqkyi6-VmuySVLMh-FrL9vUGypHvDOL5OObmcSdd66QbcNlmMaO1wyy1jXYexHVJGKpBcy1ka14ael1hNXCw83hfrFuluS1Z8AfYUEhTSRhnCcfwpXq9w-o25E7ti6kQFzbuLgaEpGYrB2aE5qoRb9ClrBj1gj-QexkrXq3HYFk5n5H1DLf/s1200/ogimage3.png

The Testimony of Rev Yong Thang.

Do you know what a man experience when he is dying?

What will he see immediately after his death?

After that, where will his soul be ?

He experienced death, who had been to hell and heaven and resurrected

Introduction.

My name is Yong Thang and I am from Myanmar (Burma). I belong to the Chin tribe. This tribe is one of Myanmar’s Nationals. I came from a poor traditional peasant family. I was born on 3 April 1958. I grew up in a small village in the Chin State.

Life and background.

Because of my family’s financial difficulties, I left school when I was studying at ninth standard. Then I started working with my parents. At that time, my family members were just traditional Christians. They did not know where they would be going after death. When one of my friends asked me,” Yong Thang, where do you think you will be going after death?” I could not answer him. I was not sure of myself whether my soul would go to heaven or to hell when I die.

To me, heaven seemed to be a fairy tale. It was hard to understand and difficult to accept. I did not know what it means to accept Jesus Christ as my Savior.

During the spring season in 1980, there was a Bible seminar being held in our village. I attended the seminar from the beginning to the end. From that seminar, I became aware of the salvation in Jesus Christ. There was revival in the whole village. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior with all my heart since then.

During the Day of Pentecost in 1980, all the villagers went up to the mountain to fast and pray for three days. On the last day of fasting and prayer, I experienced the power of the Holy Spirit and I felt my whole body being “warmed up”. I experienced unspeakable peace, rest and joy in my heart. I knew beyond the shadow of doubt that I was a new creation and had eternal life. By fasting and prayer, I received the assurance of salvation in Christ. I had full confidence that I would be in heaven when I die.

Serious illness and death.

Not long after I had got married, my wife and I moved to Thayar Gong village  in Kalay, which is a part of Sagai province in Myanmar and we were working in the farm. A few years later in early August 1984, I became critically ill. I was bedridden for several days and could not eat. Although my wife took care of me as best as she could, my condition became worse. Realizing that I might not live long, she quickly informed my family members, relatives and friends to visit and see me for the last time. They came and visited me as soon as they heard about my condition. On 13 August, about 7pm, I gradually felt in my body that my blood circulation was not normal. It was Sunday and all my family members, relatives and friends had gone to church for evening worship service except my wife. My wife was then falling asleep as she was physically exhausted.

I experienced tremendous physical change in my body step by step. I was very anxious and I thought, “Oh! Today is my last day. I am about to die soon.” I intended to wake my wife up to say my last words to her but I changed my mind as I did not want her to feel sad. My toes started to feel cold. Soon, my legs, fingers and my whole body were gradually turning cold.

I tried to move but could not. In my mind, I said to myself,” Look! My body has become immobile. I cannot move my eyes. My mouth is tightly closed. It cannot be opened!” Then, I sensed that this was not ordinary cold. These were the signs of dying. I could not resist death.

However, I knew where I would be going. I would be in heaven! Looking at my wife, I took pity on her as she would be alone for the rest of her life. So I prayed to God to take care of her for her entire life. I committed my life in God’s hands in the name of Jesus.

After a while, I saw cluster of dark clouds descending from the sky. (Though there was a roof on top of me, I could actually see the sky through it.) The dark clouds were approaching me. They landed and stopped above my bed about three feet away. At that very moment, my soul left my body.

Going to heaven and hell.

I looked down and saw my body lying beside my wife. It was completely a lifeless corpse! I was well aware that my body had died. Suddenly, I saw large demons coming from all directions. They gathered around my bed and stared at my body. I then looked towards the sky and shouted, “Angels! Please protect my body immediately.” Thank God that although I had never known how angels looked like, they appeared when I shouted. Five angels came down immediately from heaven to guard my body. At the same time, the demons, which gathered around my body, disappeared instantly I suddenly remembered what was mentioned in the Bible ‘Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister to those who will inherit salvation’ (Hebrews 1:14).

After that, I looked what was ahead of me. I saw a place burning with large flames of fire. It was horrified. From the fire, I heard thousands of lost souls crying out, “Please save us! This place is too much for us to bear and we are in great pain and suffering.” When I saw them, my heart was overwhelmed with sorrow. Suddenly, I heard a voice from heaven saying, “This is hell!” I had read about the existence of hell in the Bible. I now saw the place ‘hell’ with my very own eyes and it was real. I wondered why these souls were suffering in such a terrible place. The lord knew my heart and said, “When they were alive in the world, they did not accept me as their Lord. After they passed away, they were immediately brought to this place.” Then I saw a big black hole. It was very deep and filled with powerful unquenchable flames. It looked very frightening. A voice spoke to me, “This is the bottomless pit where the devil will be bound one day.” When I looked down at the world from a high altitude, I saw people going and coming forth, working and sleeping, eating and spending but they were never content in their lives. This led to frustration and ended with miseries and sufferings. The world is really not a good place to live. I felt deeply grieved in my heart for the suffering world and uncontrollable tears were rolling down my cheeks.

I then saw angels flying up and down from the heaven to the world praising God. Next, I saw a strong beam of light from heaven. An angel took me into heaven. When I entered heaven, surprisingly I saw thousands of saints. They wore white robes and were singing, “Hallelujah! Amen! Praise the Lord!” They welcomed me warmly for my arrival to heaven. It really touched me. When I was in the world, no one respected or paid attention to me because I was just an ordinary farmer.

The scripture recorded that “Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” (Luke 15:10). It was absolutely true. I was filled with complete joy. Every one in heaven was joyful. I then realized that there was no sadness, pain, distress, hunger or fatigue in heaven. Heaven was a place filled with the glory of God.

One can live generally about 70 to 80 years in this world. No one can decide how long he wants to live. It is a very short period of time in the sight of God. The most important thing in a person’s life is to know where his soul will be going to after death. People are working hard for their lives for selfish gain but eventually this will lead to emptiness. They are not concerned about the need to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. At the end of their lives, their souls will be tormented in hell eternally without Jesus.

Heaven is full of joy and peace and it is definitely good place to live in. No words can be used to describe how wonderful heaven is. When I looked around in heaven, there are no sun, stars and moon but every place is shining with the light of God. The place was not hot. I felt my body and spirit both being strengthened by the light of God. Although my parents, my wife and siblings were still alive in the world, I did not wish to go back to the world because I had been separated from the painful and suffering world. It was difficult for me to express in words how a man feels in the realm of happiness.

The Lord Jesus Christ suddenly appeared and gave me a gift box. I bowed down before the Lord to receive it. When I looked up, he had already disappeared. Then an angel took me to a place whereby I could see my reflection on the road.

The Bible mentioned that the road in heaven is made of gold. I saw with my own eyes that it was true. The Bible still remains valid and relevant though it was written thousand of years ago. It records and writes about creation; hell; past, present and future events. It reveals to people that salvation is found in Jesus. It is not the idea of any great man or philosopher. Every word in the Bible is true. Jesus said,” I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Dear friends, God repatriated me from heaven because He wanted me to share with you what I had seen in heaven and hell. Heaven and hell do exist. May God judge me if I had lied or deceived you in any way!

It is the desire of God for everyone to believe in Jesus Christ so as to receive salvation. He does not want anyone to spend eternity in the lake of fire. Therefore, I urge you again to carefully take heed of this testimony.

When I was walking on the golden road in heaven, I saw a bright house made of beautiful jewels. No house in this world can be compared with it. I was captivated by what I saw. Just then, I heard the voice of Jesus saying, “This house is for you, I will let you live here forever.” Oh, I was excited! It is my eternal home!

Then I rushed towards the house and searched for the entrance door to get in. But Jesus said, “No, Yong Thang. It is not your time yet. There are still many people out there who have not accepted me. You must go and warn those who are not saved so that they will not end up in the lake of fire. The day for Me to come to the world is drawing near. I will come real soon. I hope the hearts of many people will be changed by then and they will accept me through your testimony.” Although I was very reluctant to return to the world, I could not disobey Him.

Returning to the world.

Eventually, an angel brought me back  from my beautiful house to the world. Then I entered again into the corpse which had been laying cold for hours. After I had entered my body, the angel woke my wife up by pushing her hand. She got up and  Lit on the candle to look at me. My body was still cold because I had been dead for ten hours. She thought that I had passed away and started crying loudly. As a result, everybody at home and my neighbors rushed in and stood around me. Some were sobbing. I felt great sorrow and started weeping. Then my body gradually became warm. They realized that I was still alive and were comforted. My wife delightfully came over to attend to me. She fed me with some food and water. It was about 5:00 am and the sky was already bright. I had died for 10 hours from 7:00 pm to the next morning 5: 00 am. I could not forget the horror of hell and the beauty of heaven which I had seen. It was not a dream or illusion. Although that incident happened 20 years ago, it was still vivid in my mind as if it just happened yesterday.

Therefore, I write this testimony in order to share with the whole world that people may know Jesus Christ and accept Him as their personal Savior and Lord.

After recuperating, my wife and I went to share the gospel from one place to another. We also studied in a Bible school so as to learn more about God’s word.

Introduction
By Gordon Lindsay

I have know Thomas Welch the greater part of his life. In fact, I met him shortly after the amazing miracle in which he was brought back to life after being dead nearly an hour. To some people Tom’s testimony will seem incredible, but the documentation of it is absolute.

After the engineer who was operating the yard engine had witnessed Tom’s 55-foot fall, he at once sounded the alarm. The large mill was immeadiately shut down and perhaps 75 men participated in the attempt to locate the body, which was lying somewhere in the murky waters of the pond. Hearly an hour passed before they located the body and pulled it out and laid it lifeless in the mill office. They witnessed Mrs. Brocke’s compassionate prayer and cry to God for Him to bring Tom back to life, and following the prayer, saw the flickering of his eyelids. Still more astonished were the men at the mill when they saw him back on the job Saturday, just six days later. Then on the following Sunday night they heard him relate his fantastic story in the little school house(where I, too, later preached). Not less amazing was the instantaneous miracle in the hospital on Friday when each broken bone instantly came into place.

As Tom testifies, he had become an infidel early in his life from reading books in his uncle’s library which included the works of Voltair, Thomas Paine and Robert G. Ingersoll. His experience in the nether world instantly showed him the falsity of the philosophies of these notorious adocates of agnosticism and infidelity. In the brief time Tom spent there, he saw that the spirit of man exists after death of the body and he that rejects Christ must spend eternity elsewhere than with Him.

Not long after this experience I was converted in the same church, one pastored by Dr. John G. lake, in Portland. Tom kept his promise that he made to the Lord on the hospital bed when he was miraculously healed. A year later he and I and L.D. Hall left Portland to begin preaching the Gospel.

CHAPTER 1
Oregon’s Amazing Miracle

The testimony you are about to read is true in every detail. God alone knows why it happened to me, and why I was chosen to be this kind of witness to the grace and love of Jesus Christ in this 20th century. I am indebted to Jesus beyond measure for what He did for me, and my only desire now is to be faithful and true to Him.

I find great satisfaction in living for Christ and in being a witness to His saving and healing power. As Hebrews 13:5-8 declares: “For He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may bodly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

I was born and raised in Northern Alberta Canada, and was the oldest of four children. My father passed away and was buried on my eleventh birthday. Four months later my mother died and left us orphans, to be taken care of by others. Death is very final. It takes away from us the ones we need and separates us from the ones we love the most, and all we have left are memories. Our home was a happy home. No matter how kind others may be, they can never fully take the place of mother and dad, especially when you were old enough to remember all the things about them that were different from everyone else. I don’t remember ever hearing my parents quarrel. If they did, it never occurred in our presence. I am sure they loved each other and I know they loved us children.

Mother’s father, my grandfather was a school teacher and a Lutheran minister of the old circuit rider school. All were pioneers in a very real sense. As children, we understood what the word obedience meant. Confirmation in the Lutheran church we accepted as an essential part of our education.

After mother’s death I went to live with her brother, Uncle Sam, and Aunt Julia. She was a real fine person and treated me like her very own. I shall always be grateful to both of them for their kindness and love to me.

As life went on many things changed. God moves in mysterious ways. In the year of my eighteenth birthday, a very close friend and neighbor, Fin Brocke, and his wife left Canada and moved to Portland, Oregon. Mrs, Brocke was sick a lot of the time and no doubt they thought a change would help her physically.

As time passed by, we heard they had suddenly become very religious and were going to church every night, that Mrs. Brocke had been healed by prayer, and many other things that were hard to believe, knowing them like I did.

So when harvest had been gathered and the threshing season was over, a friend of mine and I decided to come to Portland and see for ourselves what this was all about. Surely at this point in my life God was directing my steps. For various reasons I had become very hard and critical of all religions, though I will not take the time or space here to go into this part of the story.

The Bible says, “God is Love.” This I know is surely true, and it is very possible that no human intelligence will ever comprehend the magnitude of the love of God until we are living with Him in eternity. At this point in my life my steps were being turned toward the very thing I had been trying so hard to avoid. My friend and I left Canada for Oregon to see for ourselves and on November 24, 1923 we arrived at the Brocke home in Portland.

We found that everything we had heard was true. They told us they had accepted Christ as their Saviour and that Mrs. Brocke ahd been by prayer and faith. They certainly were a changed man and woman!

I listened to their story and was very impressed. I went to church with them many times. I liked the minister, the Rev. John G. Lake. He was a marvelous preacher, an ex-missionary to South Africa and a world traveler, that preached a messge of love and power to heal and deliver from sin, bondage and sickness all who would believe. I enjoyed what I heard and I was glad for what had taken place in the lives of the Brockes, but nothing in me ever responded to what I had seen or heard. I was dead inside to the Spirit. Certain influences in my early teens had hardened my heart and mind. I had come to some conclusions about god and the Bible, the Lutheran doctrine on infant baptism, and so on, until I felt that if there was a God at all I was as good as He.

The Gospel that Dr. Lake preached was wonderful if it were true, but I never could believe it was for me. The influences of the past were too strong to dismiss, even though I would have liked to believe this.

I stayed on through the winter with the Brockes. He was the chief engineer at the Bridl Veil Lumber Company on Larch Mountain, thirty miles east of Portland. That was a large steam-operated sawmill and logging company, which employed over 150 men in the combined operations. The Brockes had a home in Portland and also a place at the mill.

The 1st of July, 1924 I got a job as engineer’s helper with Mrs. Brocke. Now, what I am about to tell happened on Monday, the day I started working at the mill, at one-thirty in the afternoon. We were sawing “Jap squares,” which in turn were flumed down the mountain in a trough filled with running water to the planer on the Columbia River, in the town of Bridal Veil. The stream that supplied the mill with water had a dam across it to provide water for the boilers, the log pond, and the flume to carry the lumber to Bridal Veil, a distance of four miles down the mountain.

The trestle over this dam was 55 feet above the water. I went out on the trestle to straighten out some timbers which were crossed and not moving on a conveyor. Suddenly I fell off the trestle and tumbled down between the timbers and into the pond, which was 10 feet deep. An engineer sitting in the cab of his locomotive unloading logs into the pond saw me fall. I landed on my head on the first beam 30 feet down, and then tumbled from one beam to another until I fell into the water and disappeared from his view.

There were 70 men working in and around the mill at that time. The mill was shut down then and every available man was called to search for my body, according to the testimonies of these men. The search went on for forty-five minutes to one hour before I was finally found by M.J.H. Gunderson, who has written his own account of this to verify the facts of this testimony.

Here is related my experience with death, the things I saw nd heard and did during this hour the men were searching the waters of the pond for my body:

I was dead as far as this world is concerned. But I was alive in another world. There was no lost time. I learned more in that hour out of my body than I could ever learn while in this body. All I remember is falling over the edge of the trestle. The locomotive engineer watched me go all the way down into the water.

The next thing I knew I was standing near a shoreline of a great ocean of fire. It appeared to be what the Bible says it is in Revelation 21:8: “the lake which bureth with fire and brimestone.” This is the most awesome sight one could ever see this side of the final judgment.

I remember more clearly than any other thing that has ever happened to me in my lifetime every detail of every moment, what I saw and what happened during that hour I was gone from this world. I was standing some distance from this buring, turbulent, rolling mass of blue fire. As far as my eyes could see it was just the same. A lake of fire and brimstone. There was nobody in it. I was not in it. I saw other people whom I had known that had died when I was thirteen years old. One was an uncle of mine who died of consumption when I was thirteen. Another was a boy I had gone to school with who had died from cancer of the jaw that had started with an infected tooth while he was just a young lad. He was two years older than I. We recognized each other, even though we did not speak. They too, were looking and seemed to be perplexed and in deep thought, as though they could not believe what they saw. Their expressions were those of bewilderment and confusion.

The scene was so awesome that words simply fail. There is no way to describe it except to say we were eyewitnesses now to the final judgment. There is no way to escape, no way out. You don’t even try to look for one. This is the prison out of which no one can escape except by Divine intervention. I said to myself in an audible voice, “If I had known about this I would have done anything that was required of me to escape coming to a place like this.” But I had not known.

As these thoughts were racing through my mind, I saw another man coming by in front of us. I knew immediately who He was. He had a strong, kind, compassionate face, composed and unafraid, Master of all He saw. It was Jesus Himself.

A great hope took hold of me and I knew the answer to my problem was this great and wonderful Person who was moving by me there in this prison of lost confused judgment-bound souls. I did not do anything to attract His attention. I said again to myself, “If He would only look my way and see me, He could rescue me from this place because He would know I never understood it was like this. He would know what to do.” He passed on by and it seemed as though He would not look my way, but just before He passed out of sight He turned His head and looked directly at me. That is all it took. His look was enough.

In seconds I was back and entering into my body again. It was like coming in through the door of a house. I could hear the Brockes praying minutes before I could open my eyes or say anything. I could hear and I understood what was going on. Then suddenly life came into my body and I opened my eyes and spoke to them.

It’s easy to talk about and describe something you have seen. I know there is a lake of fire because I have seen it. I know Jesus Christ is alive in eternity. I have seen Him. The Bible states in Revelation 1:9-11: “I, John…was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, and, what thou seest, write in a book.

Among the many things John saw was the judgment, and he describes it in Revelation 20 as he saw it. In verse 10 he says: “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire.” Again in Revelation 21:8, John says he saw the “lake which burneth with fire and brimstone.” This is the lake I saw, and I am certain of this one thing, that in the end of this age at the final judgment every corrupt thing in this universe will ultimately be cast into this lake and be forever destroyed.

I thank God for people who can pray. It was Mrs. Brocke I heard praying for me. She said, “Oh God, don’t take Tom; he is not saved.” Presently I opened my eyes and said to them, “What happened?” I had not lost any time; I had been gone somewhere and now I was back. Soon after this an ambulance arrived and I was taken to the Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland.

I arrived there just before six o’clock in the evening, was taken into surgery and my scalp was sewn with many stitches. I was put in the intensive care ward. There was really not much the doctors could do. It was simply a matter of wait and see. I had no pain and my mind was very clear. A special nurse was assigned to stay with me. Here is where I lay until Friday at 11:30 a.m.

During these four days and nights, I seemed to be in constant communication with the Holy Spirit. I relived the events of my past life and the things I had seen, such as the lake of fire, Jesus coming to me there, seeing my uncle and the boy I had been in school with, and the coming back to life again. The presenceof God’s Spirit was with me continually, and many times I spoke out loud to the Lord. The Holy Spirit helped me untangle my twisted philosophy until I understood what was really happening to me now. He showed me what had been wrong in the past, and he helped me to piece it all together until it made sense why this had happened to me. Then I began to ask God what He wanted in my life, what His will for me was.

By Friday morning my broken body was so stiff and sore I could hardly move at all. Then some time around nine o’clock the call of God came. The voice of the Spirit can be very real. He said to me, “I want you to tell the world what you saw, and how you came back to life.” This was a hard decision for me to make. I knew nothing about this. How could I do it? Here I lay in the hospital bed barely able to move my right arm.

The supreme moment in my life had come. I will never forget this time of decision. At 11:30 a.m. I had made up my mind. I had no doubts. I asked the nurse to leave me alone. This she did very reluctantly, of course, because she knew I was helpless. But she went out.

Then I spoke out to the Presence of God that was there and said, “Lord, if this is what you want me to do, I’ll do my best, but I cannot do it lying here. You will have to get me out of this place.”

This doesn’t sound much like a prayer, but I was talking to God now and making a very solemn commitment. Instantly a warm, wonderful feeling like a gently breeze hit the top of my head where I was hurt the worst and went on down through my body and out through my feet. I was instantly healed from head to foot. A suitcase with some clothing in it had been left by my bed earlier in the week. I dressed and left the room and hurried down three flights of stairs and was out on the street in possibly less than six minutes. The nurse never did come back in time to sound an alarm.

By this time I was afraid someone would see me and try to force me back into the hospital, because my head was all bandaged and I was a sight fit to scare anyone, but God was with me. A close friend of mine, Pete Burness, had a printing shop near the hospital. I had been there before and knew where it was, so I rushed to his place and safety. Pete did not seem too surprised when I went into his printing shop. Pete had been a soldier in World War I. He had learned to pray in the trenches. He had served with the Canadian Army under the British, and holds some of the highest medals for bravery they have to give. All he said to me was, “Well, I see you are out.” His “calm” really helped me then. After some conversation he gave me the keys to his car and said, “Go down to the house in the car. I’ll ride the streetcar home today. You can’t imagine what you look like.”

I drove down to his house. I caused quite a commotion at Pete’s home when I went in. There were several people there and of course they could not believe what they saw when I came in. However, things quited down pretty soon and I went to a dresser in Pete’s room to see what I looked like. My hair had been cut off on top, and there were stitches everywhere. I got all the bandages off and tried to comb what hair was left. The comb caught in a stitch and it began to bleed. I heard some voice say these words, “You are not healed.” My faith was being challenged. I stood there for several minutes looking at myself, and then I noticed pete’s safety razor was lying there. I took the blade out and with a tweezers to hold the end of the stitches, I cut and pulled out every stitch. There was no more bleeding. I was really healed and this proved it to me.

I have learned since that time that you have to be very positive in your stand against all the negative suggestions that come to discourage your faith in a time like this. Our natural mind many times robs us of a supernatural victory. Believe God and act whether you understand it all or not.

After some time of cleaning up, I went downtown to see the doctor that had been coming to my hospital room, a Dr. Brewer. When I walked into his office and he saw me, he very quickly stood up. He looked so surprised and said, “Man what in the world are you doing here?” I did not answer that because I was not sure either. Then he asked, “Are you all right? How did you get out of the hospital?” I replied, “Doctor, I ran out. Maybe they don’t know yet that I am gone.” He said, “Tell me what happened.”

I said, “Doctor, the lord has healed me and I am all right now.” He came close to me and pushed on my ribs that were broken and asked me, “Didn’t that hurt?” I replied, “No.” It was true; there was no pain. “Well,” he replied, “the Lord must have healed you. I am sure we did not. This is only four days and it takes from six weeks to two months for broken bones to heal when everything goes well.” Then he asked, “Who removed the stitches from your head?” I said, “I did that myself,” and told him about how I had done it.

Then I told him of how the Lord had dealt with me, how God had called me to go and tell this to the world. Among other things, I knew may would ask who my doctor was and this worried me because I was beginning to wonder what he would say. So I asked him, “What are you going to tell people who come to ask you about me?” He very simply said, “Well, if you say God healed you, then it must have been God that healed you because I know we did not. It has been only four days.” I never have known who or how many did go see Dr. Brewer about me. Not once has anyone ever said he denied my testimony.

CHAPTER II

Back to Work Saturday

Friday was surely a red-letter day for me. Saturday morning I was back at the Palmer Mill and on the job. Nobody seemed to want to work that day. They were watching me work. After some hours of this I got disturbed myself, and told them that if they wanted to hear all about my healing, we could meet at the schoolhouse on Sunday evening and I would tell them what I had seen and how I was healed. This was satisfactory with all these men. So the word went out that we would meet Sunday night at eight o’clock.

Sunday night as I approached the little schoolhouse, not far from where I had fallen, I saw a large crowd. It was getting dark. I almost panicked and ran, but again the Lord strengthened me and I went on in. Most of the people did not recognize me as I crowded my way to the front. Mr. Brocke sang a song and had prayer. My zero hour had arrived.

I was nervous and not sure of what I should do next. As I stood there, God helped me and for the first time in my life I felt the annointing of the holy Spirit to witness. It enveloped me like a cloud. This was the same Presence that had enabled me to walk out of the Good Samaritan Hospital. The same Presence had helped me to understand God’s will for me to go and tell whoever would listen about what I had seen, and warn them of the judgment to come and tell them of the love of God for man that he might escape it.

Just seven days had gone by since all this had happened. This was my first time to face an audience. I stood there behind the teacher’’ desk in a little schoolhouse. The very air seemed to be electrified, and as I opened my mouth to speak again the Presence of God settled over me and the Holy Ghost came in and filled me with His message.

I told the people what God had done, what I had seen during the time these same men were looking for my body in the pond. I knew nothing about the Bible, but the Holy Spirit speaking through me quoted much of the second and third chapters of the Prophecy of Nahum. Later that night, with the aid of a Bible concordance we were able to find what the Spirit had said concerning the day of His preparation, “The chariots shall justle one against another in the broad ways…” At that time I had no idea that what I was saying was in the Bible. It was not until Mr. Brocke searched it out that I later learned that it was. That of course was a sign to me of things to come concerning my own ministry.

I wish to emphasize here that the Baptism of the holy Spirit is the most essential part of any person’s preparation for the ministry. Without Him we can do nothing. With Him, we can do all things. It is the Holy Ghost that convinces the world of:

1st, sin; then of righteousness and of judgment.

St. John 16:9-11: “…Of sin because they believe not on me; of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

To be effective in bringing the message of salvation and deliverance to a lost world, one must be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Some have asked from time to time if I have ever had headaches or any of the aftereffects that usually follow this kind of injury. I never have had a headache in my life; my eyes and ears are almost perfect. I am still healed today.

The people who had played the most important role in this, of course, were Fin and Mabel Brocke. They had the faith and the courage to believe God for a miracle at a time and in a place of great need. They acted on instant notice and were rewarded by instant results.

Then there was Julius H. Gunderson, who found my body in ten feet of water when everyone else was giving up the search. He searched until he found me. God rewarded him, too, for his faith. Mr. Gunderson and fin and Mabel Brocke have written their testimonies of what happened that day and these testimonies are given here in their own words. Nothing has changed.

CHAPTER III
A Day Never to be Forgotten

(by Fin & Mabel Brocke)

I had gone over the hillside to pick some berries, but the rain had chased me in. I was within a few yards of our house when I saw my husband coming, walking fast, and he called to me and said, “Mamma, Tommy fell and he is dead.”

It is just as fresh in my memory now as then, what I said and how I felt. I asked, “Why Tommy?” and I heard a voice say, “For the Glory of God.” Then my husband said, “I came to get you to pray.”

I went with him back to the mill office. We didn’t talk but we did pray all the way. When we got back to the office the room was filled with men and there lay Tommy wrapped in a blanket on a table. His face and head were covered with blood; there was no pulse, no life. Surely we were in the presence of death. You could feel it, as well as see it.

Those men that were packed in there knew my husband. They knew he was a man of prayer, and that he had gone to get me to help him pray. They were expecting to see something happen. I went to one side of the table and my husband went to the other side. The Bible says in James 5:14-15: Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save the sick and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

My husband annointed him with oil according to the Scripture, and then he said, “Mabel, you pray.” I placed on hand on his head and the other on his heart. A young man standing near took my hand off Tommy’s head and said, “Can’t you see that is where he is hurt?” It wasn’t a long prayer. We just asked God to be merciful and raise him up. First we saw his eyelids move just a little; then the tears began to come and he tried to talk. He said, “What happened?” The words were far apart, as though they were coming from a far country. Then he said, “I can’t help it now.” More life came into him and the men standing around were all amazed and happy. They had seen a miracle. The boss had called Portland for an ambulance soon after Tommy fell, and we knew it would be coming soon.

When they got him to the hospital, he was taken into surgery and they cleaned the wounds in his head and put a lot of stitches inhis scalp. Seven ribs on his left side were broken; they bandaged him up for that. It took a long time to do all this and we waited until they brought him out of surgery. He didn’t say anything so we asked him if he had any pain. He said, “No.” They took him to the intensive care ward, and then he asked the nurse if he could have something to eat. They did give him something to eat before we left him to go back to the mill. My husband was the chief engineer so we had to go back that night.

I returned to the hospital the next morning. The doctors asked me not to stay long; they did not hold out much hope that he would live. It was hard for Tommy to talk and his words came very slowly. He said, “I have something to tell you. You know I was dead for a while, but I found myself way off in a wilderness. It was as if a huge magnet were drawing me into it, and a lot of other people too, and there was no way to get out. I saw my uncle and a boy I went to school with. There was a great big lake of fire and I felt as if I were being drawn into it. I was afraid. Then I saw Jesus coming from a way off. He came closer and was going on by, and I said, ‘If He would only turn and look at me He would save me.’ Then Jesus looked at me and I heard you praying. I opened my eyes as soon as I could and I saw you.”

I had to leave then, but later on he told us about all the things he had seen. He talked a lot about the lake of fire and the ones there. He said there was not anybody in the fire, but they were in a prison waiting and there was no way to escape.

The next time we saw Tommy was on a Friday night, after work. We did not know about what had taken place in the hospital that morning. When we got to my sister’s home in Portland, we found that he was no longer in the hospital and that he had been instantly healed and had left the hospital about eleven o’clock that morning. He was in the hospital just four days. He went back to the mill with us that night and was back to work on Saturday.

Sunday night he told his experience at the little schoolhouse near the mill. The entire mill crew and their families were there. Many could not get inside the building; it was too small. They had seen a miracle. Now they wanted to hear about it. Needless to say, we were very grateful to God for letting us have a part in this great thing that He had done. Tommy has kept his word and has been telling his story and preaching faith and deliverance ever since. Have faith in God. He never fails when we believe.

This is the endorsed statement of Mr. J.H. Gunderson, 1703 S.E. 16th Avenue, Portland, Oregon:
I, J.H. Gunderson, was at the Palmer Mill looking for a job and visiting Fin Brocke on July 1, 1924, when at about one-thirty in the afternoon Tom fell and I witnessed this miracle of faith.

A locomotive engineer sitting in his cab saw Tom fall. He ran from his locomotive down into the main engine room to tell Mr. Brocke what had happened.

The mill was shut down and Mr. Brocke and I and others went to recover Tom, but he had fallen into the water, which was ten feet deep at this point. We had a hard time finding him because the water was dirty and we were fishing for him with pike poles with long handles. After some time, another man gave me the pole he was using and I began probing the water deep down because I felt that he must be on the bottom. This was right because after some time of this kind of searching I hooked onto his clothes and pulled his body near enough for us to get our hands on him, and we pulled him out. He was dead. There was no life in him at all. His head was smashed in on top and blood was everywhere.

Mrs. Brocke got word and came down to the mill. When she saw Tom lying there still and dead, she knelt down and put her hand on his head. The blood oozed out between her fingers as she cried out to God to spare his life and save his soul because Tom was not a Christian. As she cried out and prayed, I saw life come back into Tom and he moved for the first time since we had recovered him from the water. Then he opened his eyes and asked, “What happened?”

Over these years I have thanked God many times for the privilege I had of seeing a dead man come back to life in answer to prayer. I stood on the bank of that pond for at least thirty minutes while other men were fishing for his body. I was watching for air bubbles or some sign of where he was. I never did see any air bubbles. There was no water in his lungs. He never had breathed in all that time he was under the water. One of the men who had been trying to find Tom had given up and handed me his pike pole. I pushed it down deep and it hooked onto his clothing. He must have been near the bottom. It must have been all of forty-five minutes to one hour from the time he fell until Mrs. Brocke prayed for him in the mill office.

This is my testimony as I saw it happen. I pulled Tom to the surface myself, and witnessed the miracle of life restored in him. I thank God for what I saw that day, and I thank God for the privilege of telling it here. It changed my life. It is the truth.

CHAPTER IV
What I Saw During the Hour of Death

Many people today, especially the teenages and young adults in their early twenties, who come to special meetings and hear this testimony, ask me for Bible references on the lake of fire. Just recently a group of young thirty-five young adults asked me to write down the Scripture references for them because they did not know how to search them out. They also said they had never heard any evangelist or pastor preach on this subject, and most of them seemed to be surprised to find that there really is such a place spoken of in the Bible. They were very familiar with the term hell, but knew nothing about the lake of fire.

Due to the fact that I saw the lake of fire and that I promised the Lord I would tell what I had seen, I feel that those who read this testimony should also read what the Bible says about the lake of fire and its ultimate purpose, and have therefore prepared this Bible reference:

Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

In Revelation 1:19 John received an instruction from Jesus Christ, “Write the things which thou has seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter.” This is past, present and future.

The important thing here is that John was told to write the things which he had seen. It’s easy to describe something you have seen. Revelation 1:2 says John “bare record…of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.” A recordis information that is preserved in writing so it will not be forgotten. Revelation 1:11 says, “What thou seest, write in a book, and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia.

We must bear in mind here that John is talking about the things at which he had been looking, and leaving a record of them for all future generations.

In Revelation 19:19-20, John says: “And I saw the beast…And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet…these both were cast alive into a lake of fire buring with brimstone.” This will be the final curtain for these two; they will never get out. They are mentioned again after a one-thousand year period. Revelation 20:10,And the devil…was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are. Revelation 20:3 clearly indicates that Satan will be held captive in the “bottomless pit” for a thousand years, and then he will be turned loose again to deceive. Verses 7 and 8: “And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison. And shall go out to deceive the nations…” Verse 9 shows that judgment will come as it did on Sodom in the days of Lot, “…a fire came down from God out of heaven.

Verse 10 then says, “And the devil…was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are.” These two had been cast alive into the lake of fire a thousand years previous to this and they are still here. And the last of verse 10 declares, “…and they shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Then in Revelation 20:11-13 we see the great white throne judgment. Verses 12 and 13 state that all the small and the great that had ever lived were called to stand before God and they were judged, “every man according to his works.” Then verses 14 and 15 declare, “Death and hell were cast into the lake of fire and whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Also in Revelation 21:6-8, John wrote these words: “And He said unto me, It is done.” These words of a great hope are real for some, and words of dreadful finality for others. It is done – He has done all He can do. In verses 6 and 7: “I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shallinherit all things, and I will be his God, and he shall be My son.” But verse 8, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” There will be no appeal from this final sentence. Romans 6:23: “The wages of sin is death.”

2 Thessalonians 1:7-9: “And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power.” Phillips’ translation quotes it this way: “Their punishment will be eternal exclusion from the radiance of the face of the Lord and the glorious majesty of his power.

St. John did see the lake of fire. I saw the lake of fire. There most certainly is such a place in existence now, and the Bible very clearly tells us why it is in existence. Perhaps the most eloquent illustration is in Matthew 13:40-43, “As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of Man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend and them which do iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

The Vision of Susan Cummings.
on January 31, 2003    Spanish

Today, as I was making a worship hoop for a friend, the Lord gave me a vision, and as I as worshipping the Lord, he spoke to me about the vision. I submit it to you for your discernment, and for prayer. This is what he showed me:

I am seated in a chair, and I suddenly feel compelled to worship the Lord. As I am worshipping, I am caught up, and taken in the Spirit to a place that I don’t know of. It is a different area that I have not been to before. I see a building that I have entered, and am standing in a hallway. This hallway goes in two different directions, and is long and carpeted with red carpet. There are many doors along the corridor of the hallway. Each door is different though. There are tall doors, short doors, wooden doors, steel doors, glass doors, and arched doors, and many more, too many to describe them all. It felt funny to see all of the different doors in this place. I was thinking about how odd it was for this to be this way, when I heard talking. I looked up and down the hallway, trying to find where the voices were coming from. I began walking down the corridor to the right. The Lighting in this hallway was not bright, yet, not dim either. There were no lights to be seen, yet, it was lit and you could see. I also noticed that there were no doorknobs on any of the doors. Each door was shut and each had it’s own method of entrance. The sound of the voices trailed down the hall, as I continued to follow it’s sound. I noticed that the carpet was red, but it was also very worn. There were paths beaten into the fibers of the carpet, and it was obvious that this was a well-traveled place. Even though the carpet was worn, it was very inviting and pleasing to look at. It was comfortable to walk upon. As I walked on, I came to a junction. I looked, but did not see anyone, or hear anything from the other hallways, so I continued on.

All at once, I see a man standing before a door up ahead of me. He was standing in front of the door with a sword in his hands. The voices seemed to be coming from within that door. I felt some apprehension about going up to the man, as he stood guarding that door and he looked very serious. As I drew closer, he turned and looked at me. I then knew that he was no man, as he was an angel that guarded that door. I began to feel uncomfortable, and started to turn away from him, as I felt a sudden fear and I did not want to seem foolish to him.

The angel then lowered his sword and pointed it at me. He said, “Whom do you seek?” I began to shake and I said that I didn’t know why I was here, but that the Master summoned me. The angel then smiled, and he looked at me closer, and said, “Yes, he has.” He then stepped aside, and motioned for me to enter the door. The door then opened without anyone touching it. I felt relief flood into me as I stepped into the room. I was not prepared for the things that I would see here. I had entered into a room with maps all over the walls. Yet, they were not paper maps, but looked like real places somehow placed on the walls. Every continent was there, and every country. There were the oceans, and the seas, and the rivers. It was all there, on all of the walls. I was amazed at the sight, and I wondered who placed them up on the walls. I could also see two chairs in the room, and a line of people who stood by the chairs. In the chairs were seated a man and the Lord. The man and the Lord were talking back and forth. I then realized that those were the voices that I heard from the hallway. They were not talking loud but softly, and I wondered how I could hear them all the way from down the hallway. I noticed that the people in line came up to the Lord, one by one. There were men and women in the line. Each one stood by the Lord and talked with Him. The Lord would point to the maps, and speak of certain events that would happen to the countries, and he showed the person what would take place. As I watched, the Lord pointed to a country, and fire began to spread out in that country and it devoured all of the crops in that land. I was horrified as I watched. There was no one who could stop the fires. The man that stood with the Lord watched and then he shook his head, and left the line. I watched as he walked away with his head down and his hands gripped together. The Lord looked sad, and watched him leave.

A woman then approached the Lord ahead of me, and she stood next to the Lord. The Lord pointed to the oceans and they began to churn with a great storm. The storm made huge waves that beat upon some lands and upon the sea I saw ships that were sinking from the huge waves. The storm was very powerful and the roar of the waves terrified me as I watched. It seemed as if I could feel the pounding even from where I stood. The woman showed no emotion. I was amazed. She watched, and said it did not matter, as the people were dead anyway. Then she backed away, and turned to leave. I stopped her, and put my hand on her shoulder. She hesitated, then continued on. The Lord watched her go, and there was grief in His eyes, and pain that I did not want to see there. I felt somehow responsible. I then realized that it was my turn. I stepped forward and stood next to the Lord. I was very unsure of what I was supposed to do, but I felt safe with the Lord standing next to me. He noticed my reaction and smiled slightly. Then he raised his hand and pointed at the far wall in front of us. The wall came alive with a great shaking. It seemed that the whole wall shook, and the lands with it. I could feel the shaking from where I stood, and it terrified me. I grabbed onto the Lord, and stood watching as the lands shook violently. There was a great noise, and then it was still. The lands had split from the shaking, and it was deathly quiet. It was so quiet. I looked at the Lord, but he remained looking at the wall. I looked again, and I saw that there were very few untouched areas of the land. It was shaken till there was nothing recognizable. Then I saw one of the mountains erupt and it spewed lava and ash over parts of the land, and it shook again. People were running everywhere and there was no where to run to. Fires burned in places from where the lava landed and it lit up the land like torches. I could smell the burned land. I then felt tired, and looked to sit down. The Lord sat me next to Him, and looked at Me. He then asked me if I understood what I saw.

I considered the scenes that I saw since I entered the room. I said to the Lord that I knew that he had summoned me, but that I did not know why He had showed me these scenes and why the people were here. The Lord then said, “This is My Map Room.”

It is here that I have laid out the foundations of the earth, even before I created them. All that has occurred since the beginning of time, I have seen and have carried up till this day. Nothing happens upon the earth without My Foreknowledge or My Sovereign will. I chose to create the earth for man, so that we could dwell together. My dwelling place has always been with man, but man rejected Me, and has chosen to live separate from Me. Ever since, they have lived in the lower expanse without Me, and without My Hand guiding them in their affairs. What you have seen here this day, is the culmination of the generations, and the repercussions of the choices they have made. The earth can no longer hide the sin, and travails to expel it.

Throughout the ages, I have summoned people to come here and to see this room. It is here that I show them the awesome responsibility that comes with man’s choices. It is also here that the hearts are revealed and shown for what is in them. You see, I call to my people, and they do not come to Me. The few that do, also choose whether they will carry My burden and reach out to those who dwell in those lands on the maps. Many choose not to respond, not to care. They are more concerned for their own personal safety and comfort that they cannot reach out without jeopardizing their own lives and freedoms. They will not risk their life for their brother, and they walk away. The man that you saw was full of fear. He came out of obedience to Me, but He had not conquered His Fear, and fully trust in Me, and when he watched the fires come upon His lands, He could not trust Me to use Him nor to even care for Him. He looked good on the outside, but when he was challenged with the real threat to his safety, he backed away, unable to reach out to those who were hurting. He only saw the destruction, and could not see the needs of the people. So he left to go to his own destruction and to his portion. The woman that was also here was full of dread. She watched as the storms tore away at her own lands and she hardened her heart. She had not allowed Me to walk with her in the earth, and be her companion. She suffered through life without My Grace, and ended up hardened and cold. The many injustices of the times ate away at her faith until she could no longer believe that I even cared or that I could help her. She waded through life, enduring each thing that came with pain and she gave up hope. She also came, but she did not come out of obedience, but out of necessity. Here she had a moment of peace, but she left to go back to the life without Me. She did not see any hope in the storms, and so she could not reach out and help someone. She only sees death and destruction without Mercy and Justice.

Then you came before Me. I brought you here to show you some of the things that will come to your land. The Great Shaking has only just begun in reality, but I showed you so that you would know My Heart in it. The Shaking is necessary to dislodge all of the deeply entrenched sins and idolatry of the nation. Much is entrenched beneath the land and has been there from the beginning. But, I am visiting the land, and it will be shaken so that it can be freed. The mountains erupted from the great pressures that have been building and from the battle that has been waged over the destiny of your land.

You were right to grab hold of Me in the shaking, as it is the only safety that there is. Everything that can be shaken, will be. Nothing will remain the same, nor can it be. For the cries of the earth demand Liberty and the cries of the generations of slain demand Justice. The blood cries out from the ground and cannot be held back any longer. I have given time for men to reach out to Me. I have given opportunities for all men to hear the Truth. I have given My Life for them to be saved and to know Me, yet they continue to reject Me, and the Truth.

There is nothing else besides Me, except for time itself. And even time is coming to an end. I called you here to show you what is to come. I called you to test your heart. Will you deny yourself and go and reach out to My People who remain on the earth, and who will suffer greatly in the days to come? I say My People, as all men are mine for I created them all. But they are not My Children, nor are they My Bride.

Will you overcome your weaknesses and reach out to them at all costs? Can you stand, trusting fully in Me, without wavering in the face of great trials, and show My Love to those around you? I saw your tiredness as you watched the great upheavals. I know of your labors and of your zeal for Me. I know that you pursuit me with devotion and are seeking Me more, yet, will you continue, knowing that it will cost you greatly? The flesh tires from the cost, but will you rise up in My Strength and allow Me to undergird you?

Many fall because they can never allow Me to come alongside of them and help them. They cannot admit that they have need of My help. They feel it is a sign of weakness, and immaturity to be weak. Yet, they can never overcome their own faults enough to reach out themselves. Many will fall in the days to come, who once let me help them, and who knew my Hand upon them, yet they felt the security of the position, and felt that they didn’t need Me anymore, and walked on without Me. They felt that they had grew up and had now gained solidity and were now examples to others and were leaders of the people. Yet, they did not see their own pride and could not even see that they had fell. They continued to walk alone, and slowly lost their faith, and their tenderness. They soon lost all respect for others, and became arrogant and criticized others who struggled. The cost is great, and the price is high, yet the harvest is ready and the time is short. Many think that there is still time, and don’t remain alert, and are not seeking Me. They are going on to their own demise, as they will not have My Wisdom to guide them. They chose to go their own way, rather to pursue Me. The cares of this world will lure many away, and cause them to become dull of hearing, and of heart. They will lose their sensitivity to others and will not even notice when things have changed, for their hearts are far from Me. They will have their reward.

I called you to come here and to see what lies ahead. Many of My Faithful Prophets have already been here, and are now sounding the alarm. Many are faithful to reach out, and to call My Own in. Will you stand with them? Many will mock you, ridicule the Word that I give to you, and criticize your walk, but I will be with you. Many will discount the Voice that will speak through you, and will not believe the Truth. But many others will. Will you pay the cost, and call My People to Me?

The Lives of My Prophets are in My Hand, and I am turning them this way and that way, and positioning hem in the earth. They will sound the warning, and hen the scenes that you saw, and still many more you id not see, will begin.

I could feel His eyes looking right into My heart as e spoke. I did not feel fear, but I did feel all of y humanity within me. I have always felt that I knew e was with me, but at this moment I knew that I had not always walked in that knowledge. I could see many f the times where I had tried to carry too much, or o do things without the Lord’s wisdom, and I knew hat He was right. I had not allowed the Lord to fully enable me, nor to empower me to be his servant. I did have zeal, but not a lot of strength.

I said, Lord, take me and carry me. Enable me to be our servant and to speak Your Word with Your Power. I cannot go any further without you as the head in my life. I trust You, and rely upon Your Strength and wisdom, and not upon myself. Give me Your Heart for our People, and help Me to speak to them and to see hem with Your eyes. For I will pay the cost, as I desire no other, but You. The Lord looked at me with very grave eyes, and reached into my heart and pulled t out. I was shocked, and cried out. He calmly smiled at me, and reached into His heart and pulled it out, and gave it to me.

He said, “You now have My Heart. Be careful what you do with it. Never take it for granted, nor fail to obey its leading. Guard it carefully, and never fail to release it to others. Love those around you with My Love, and speak the Truth. I felt no pain as I stood there, but I did feel a release. I did not fear anymore, nor did I feel tired. I felt very full and free, and as if I was loved completely and had no strings attached to me. I was so caught up by the simplicity of His Love, and how we make life hard by resisting Him. I clutched His Heart to Me, and there was a great stirring within me. I felt such hope rising in me for God’s People. I saw the great Destiny that awaited them, and the Glory of His Reunion. It was worth it all.
